Every teammate brings a level of talent, expertise and product focus to the table beyond what I’ve seen at other startups. The communication standards that we’ve built as a team – direct and open discussions are the norm here, and all voices are welcome regardless of role and experience.

Somewear rescue stories

We’ve made it our business to make an impact

SOMEWEAR RESCUE STORIES

A rescue 1200
miles offshore

Equipped with Somewear, a deployed para-rescue jumper (PJ) jumped out of the plane, landed in the ocean, and swam to the vessel. When he reached the injured crewman, the PJ was immediately able to use Somewear to communicate patient vitals directly to both Command & Control (C2) headquarters and the doctor who would eventually receive the patient in California.

CO skier air-lifted
to safety

A Colorado backcountry skier suffered a broken ankle that left him immobilized and unable to traverse to safety. He relied on Somewear to trigger an SOS and call for help. Through the Somewear mobile app, the skier had the ability to communicate directly with the emergency response team and share details that accelerated the rescue operation.

Parachute fails to
deploy from 10,000ft

A team of military operators were training when one operator’s parachute failed to deploy. The leadership team observing the training exercise via the Somewear web app quickly recognized that the jumper was still in free-fall while others had already deployed their chutes. Leveraging Somewear’s real-time tracking, the team proactively predicted where the jumper would land after his emergency chute auto-deployed. Upon impact, the jumper required immediate medical attention and the team was there to transport him to a nearby hospital. Somewear helped save his life.

Billy Wade
California Military Dept. | Customer

“The platforms’ ability to autonomously leverage the path (cell, wifi, or satellite) of least resistance (smart routing) has streamlined operations and maximized our confidence to send and receive critical data in any environment.”

Image

Justin Lozier
Monument Group | Customer

“We have guides and snowcat operators across valleys and peaks and the only way we can communicate with all of them reliably and effectively is Somewear. Our operations had been heavily dependent on our operators’ ability to get into radio range…”

Pat Burgess
Guardian Premier Solutions | Partner

“Somewear’s sensor integration, which pairs biometrics with PLI (position location information) data, has allowed us to maximize safety through a real-time understanding of the force health.”

Image

David Merrick
FSU Emergency Management | Customer

“Before Somewear, we had never experienced uninterrupted comms in any event, ever. Our Hurricane Ida AAR [After Action Report] states that Somewear will be the required communications solutions for every operation moving forward.”

Kurt Kusterbeck
